The festival kicked off on Friday, 15th June at Gillingham with an opening parade gathering surrounding schools, students of the Kent University, professionals and amateur artists.

On Saturday, change of place : we are now in Chatham where various companies took over the shopping street to meet locals. Mary and Doris, our two Granny Turismo (ZEPA shared company) raced on their souped-up shopping trolleys along the High Street, adding a bit of spice to this nice spring day. The day ended with the breathtaking aerial show Barricade from NoFit State Circus. The storm did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of the artists cheered up by the large audience !

On Sunday, the picnic in the Rochester Castle Gardens ended the festival. It was a nice appointment under the sun for Medway residents with artistic workshops for children, ice creams and crepes for greedy people and a large variety of shows for young and old. The company Dizzy O’Dare which has just joined the ZEPA shared companies’ circle, came to present its show The Last Apothecary.

The festival ended with a flourish thanks to the French company Les Krilati who came for the first time in England thanks to the ZEPA network !
