Born in London, Abigail Collins trained at the Royal Ballet School of London before moving on to contemporary dance and circus arts atCircomedia (Centre for contemporary circus and physical performance), Bristol.

Abi performed her first solo street theatre show Fire On The Nile in 1995. This show has toured throughout Northern Europe and Australia, where Abi was a two-time winner of the Campus Activities Victoria, ‘Best Street Performer’ award.

Une Femme Exposée is her second major solo work for the street, developed in 2005. The show has toured widely in Spain, Holland and Belgium and had its Southern Hemisphere premiere in January 2008 at The Christchurch World Buskers Festival, New Zealand. In 2007 the show received The Jury Prize at ARCA (Spain).

Also in 2007 Abigail co-created Quizas a circus-theatre show with the Cuban clown Juan Luis Quintinar. Predominantly a comedy exploring the timeless theme of unrequited love, the show is packed with clowning, dance, song, live music, hula hoops, slack rope, tissue, acrobalance and juggling.

2009 saw the creation of Abigail’s third major solo work for the street, Buttabing ! Buttaboom ! Buttafly ! (a HipHopera in one act), and a summer tour to Belgium, Holland, France, Sweden, Spain and Colombia.
