The Fête is also in Amiens city centre

On Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th June 2011, Amiens was literally invaded by outdoor arts companies: in the St Acheul area for a start, with more than a dozen UK companies, fitting perfectly in the British architecture-style setting of the area. Then in the city centre (where the latter UK companies joined in on the Sunday), with a programme packed with companies supported by le Hangar/Pole National Cirque et Arts de la Rue or noticed in various festivals around the world.

Amongst them, companies such as Les Apostrophés, Chamboule Tout and VO Compagnie, who took part in previous ZEPA events.

And of course NoFit State Circus, the ZEPA associate Welsh company, presenting their ZEPA supported new show, Barricade. Unfortunately, the circus artists had to stop the performance after 15 minutes on the Friday night because of the pouring rain, and an electric failure deprived the audience of the last 15 minutes on the Saturday night.

But the wide range of shows in the festival programme enabled each spectator to enjoy some fantastic shows from all artistic genres.

More pictures to be put online soon.
