The Fuse Medway Festival will take place from 15th to 17th June 2012 in three towns of South East England: Gillingham, Chatham and Rochester. This festival will fill the Medway streets during 3 days with a huge array of theatre, dance, circus and music performances. Three shared companies of the ZEPA network will be scheduled : the British companies Larkin About and Dizzy O’Dare and the French company Les Krilati (for the very first time in the other side of the Channel!).

Zap Art, one of the 9 partners of the ZEPA network has chosen the Medway to host the show Barricade on Saturday night, creation of the British associated company NoFit State Circus. A premiere in Medway which has never hosted such an unusual and spectacular circus show!

Since February 2012, NoFit State Circus as well as some local companies (including Dizzy O’Dare) have run a series of workshops with the community prior to the Barricade’s performance on 16th June 2012 in the evening. It will start with small shows performed around the set by the participants of the various workshops.

On Saturday and Sunday, the local people will have the opportunity to be introduced to circus arts with the NoFit State. The region’s professional circus artists won’t be forgotten as well as they will be able to get involved in a Master class with the company on Sunday.

In short, it will be a busy weekend for the lucky Medway residents!
