Just as the chaos began so did the rain. However it seemed that not even the good old British weather could dampen the spirits of the crazy French Policemen who descended on Great Yarmouth Market Place to warm up the crowds in preparation for this years “Out There” Festival.

A sea of confused and puzzled looking shoppers who were enjoying their traditional market chips looked on in amazement as the Marseille based street arts company caused havoc around them.

Everywhere you looked the twelve bike-riding policemen were scaling the market canopy, shouting from the top of lamp posts and even “stealing” small children and dogs, all for the entertainment of the growing crowd.

Générik Vapeur and their show Les Champêtres moved through the market organising impromptu races for fellow riders of mobility scooters all with support from passers-by.

The cycle based show is a prelude for the Tour of Britain cycle race for which Great Yarmouth is hosting the finish line.

Mayhem continued down towards the seafront where even our bobbys on the beat were given a ticking off. It really was a sight to behold and wonderful to see so many smiling faces.
