  Ragroof Theatre Company Every year, on Hat Fair Saturday evening, there is live music in the city centre, in front of the Guild Hall. The Ragroof Theatre Company changed this tradition slightly this year to introduce Winchester to the «Tea Dance». They invited the audience to join in the dance to some 20s, 30s and 40s tunes, while enjoying tea and cakes. • Students from the Bachelor of Street arts take part in the festival

  Students from the University of Winchester Bachelor of Street arts were also part of the street arts celebrations.   For its 37th edition, Hat Fair was host to three French companies as part of ZEPA: Beau Geste, Les Apostrophés and Charli Encor. Beau Geste, with Transport Exceptionnel transformed the Winchester Great Hall into a child’s dream, a dream where a man can dance with a JCB digger. A moment of mechanic poetry for the first festival night, in a magical historical and archeological setting. The audience is taken aback, wondering ’This?
