The Brighton Festival is delighted that 2 Rien Merci are bringing their extraordinary show Gramoulinophone to Brighton in May as part of ZEPA. We are also delighted that Katherine Webb, from the Brighton Festival, is going to join 2 Rien Merci in Brittany mid April, also as part of ZEPA. Katherine is a young arts production manager and is looking forward to the experience of working with 2 Rien Merci in France both as career development and an adventure.
Katherine will be helping 2 Rien Merci in Inzinzac Lochrist extending her knowledge in a way that will be enormously helpful when the company comes to Brighton where she will be responsible for all practical aspects of their visit.
This exchange is an example of what lies at the heart of the project: that professionals should experience the working culture of colleagues across borders. The Brighton Festival plans to do similar exchanges with young English professionals and other ZEPA companies such as Generic Vapeur and Carabosse. ZEPA is creating experiences out of which cross border friendships will be formed and professional collaborations developed. And what better way to do that than putting up the tent and contributing to the delight of audiences in both France and England?
