Welsh contemporary circus company Nofistate kicked off their visits to each ZEPA partners this week, starting by the UK partners and carrying on on the other side of the Channel next week.
Their aim: discussions and exchanges to try to grasp and understand each organisation, the area it covers, its local people, its history, its specificity; then physically observe, on site, the identity of the area.
The aim of this approach, that the French associated company approached by ZEPA, Générik Vapeur, also goes through, is to create a spectacle that would reflect the identity of the whole ZEPA cross-border area.
Quite a challenge indeed, but an exciting one according to Ali Williams, NoFitstate Creative Producer on the project: "It’s fantastic to see such a diversity within the partners and their areas...and we’ve only just visited the UK partners!" .
