On Saturday 30th October, join in la Grande Veillée and hunt the streets of Rouen along with the artists invited to recall the memory of the dead.

La Grande Veillée is organised as part of the Autumn in Normandie festival by a wide range of regional and local partners including Atelier 231, National Creation Centre for Street-Arts, and the local community, encouraged to take part in the event.

Amongst the various disciplines (theatre, dance, circus, debates, conferences, books, unusual walks, exhibitions, films and music), street-arts is also represented, through company Transe Express and their latest show “The Drums of the Deathly Death”, invited by Daniel Andrieu, Director of Atelier 231.

Mexico is where the company found their inspiration. Macabre rituals and carnival extravaganza will shape the evening parade. Walkingabout the public space, led by giant puppets beating the drums with bones, you will reach the Town Hall square. Happenings and various stops will punctuate your festive journey, from music to dance, acrobatics or fire installations. Come along with your family and friends, watch and be scared by this crazy witching hour!
