Street theatre Workshop – Picardie University

In collaboration with Le Pôle National Cirque et Arts de la Rue d’Amiens, this workshop gives first-year students from the Bachelor of Street arts the opportunity to participate in an initiation to street theatre. It is the first training at the University for Vincent Martin, artistic Director of the company Acte Théâtral and the first approach of street arts for the students.

The implementation of the Bachelor of Street arts is part of the actions of the “University project group” initiated by the ZEPA network.

Vincent Martin, artistic Director of the company Acte Théâtral, provides 30 hours street theatre workshop to the first-year students from the Bachelor of Street arts at the Arts Department in Amiens. Everyone discovering the other’s universe, the workshop was based, for the first two sessions, on speaking out, improvisation and body’s involvement.

The students are particularly receptive to this playful approach of theatre acting while Vincent is emphasising the group’ qualities. The next sessions should take place inevitably in the public space…
