Hocus Pocus in residence at Atelier 231

Programmed for the first time in France at the 2nd edition of the Fish & Chips festival, British company Hocus Pocus is back at Atelier 231 from 2nd to 9th March 2011, for a residency this time, to work on their new show Sideshow of Curiosities.

Sideshow of Curiosities is a silent street-arts show, telling the story of a show of curiosities that time forgot. The show takes the audience on a journey into this most unusual world and display supernatural skills on and off-stage. Hocus Pocus Theatre aim to work on the characters of The Gypsy, The Mermaid and The Strongwoman with an artistic mentor to develop a new structure and new material for the show.

The show was premiered in September 2010, in Great Yarmouth’s Out There festival organised by SeaChange Arts.
