They had amazed the audience on the first edition of the Fish & Chips, in 2010, and The Strangelings came back this year for everyone’s delight.

21h09, along the Promenade des Anglais, the dapper and demented Isaiah Cran and Tolley-boy, his assistant, who lost his tongue in a very ‘unfortunate’ incident, are here, in front of the Gaity Engine , the last Victorian show. The 150 audience members, gathered in the bitter cold of this January evening discovered some weird creatures: a half-prawn-man, a squeamish fakir, an albino sheep named Napoleon who can sing the God Save The Queen, or a half-man, half-woman, half-fish mermaid…

Towards 11pm and indoors, here they are again, our two artists are now photographers (Victorian style again). Henry Burns and George Entwhistle, the two gentlemen Photographers dress you… and you are suddenly plunged into a very British 19th century! You get your picture taken, and after a few minutes, you can proudly take your beautiful portrait home and put it on the fire place – what a great match with your great- great-grand-parents’ picture!!
