Mardi Gras may conjure up images of exotic locations like Rio De Janeiro and New Orleans, but this month SeaChange Arts brought a little of that magic to Great Yarmouth.
The town’s King Street was transformed into an international quarter in a celebration of Shrove Tuesday and Mardi Gras traditions from around the world.
Despite inclement weather Mardi Gras proved a hit with young and old who turned up to enjoy street bands and performers, workshops and carnival mask parade.
SeaChange’s Joe Mackintosh said : “despite the weather, people have turned out and enjoyed a mix of exciting street performance, international cuisine and hands-on workshops. Its brightened up February and put down a great marker for future events in the town.”
