Out There 2011
SeaChange Arts have put the finishing touches to the line-up for the Out There International Festival of Street Arts and Circus. Now in its 4th year, the Out There Festival has become the largest street arts festival in the East of England. Once again, the majority of the festival programme will take place in Great Yarmouth’s St George’s Park on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th September 2011 but with excursions into the town’s marketplace and along the seafront.
In another packed programme of crazy happenings, SeaChange have once again drawn heavily from Europe and ZEPA partners.
Associate company, [*NoFit State Circus*] close the Saturday night’s proceedings with a performance of Barricade. They’ll also be resident in Great Yarmouth in the weeks running up to the festival, working with young people to develop their aerial and circus skills for SeaChange’s ‘Bread and Circuses’ project – a community outdoor circus show to be performed at the festival.
Other highlights include [*Tilted Production*]’s SeaSaw – a production blurring the boundaries between dance, theatre and performance art. Les [*Trois Points De Suspension*] return to Yarmouth with M. Baryton, while the irresistible [*Mario Queen of the Circus*] makes his debut.
UK act, [*Stuff & Things*] continue their growing relationship with SeaChange with a new show audiObscura : a series of hidden installations will transform people’s perceptions of park benches, drains and post boxes. [*Plungeboom*]’s Troll’s Kitchen provides plenty of entertainment for the younger audiences and further UK representation comes from [*Strangelings*] and their daredevil street show, Tandem.
French folk dance company [*Eostiged Ar Stangala*] will be performing a UK premier of their show, The Witch, before leading a specially created evening of French themed entertainment in ‘Fest Noz’ on Saturday evening.

Out There 2010
The East of England’s largest festival of street arts and circus will take place in Great Yarmouth again this September. Last year around 50,000 visitors enjoyed an international programme of music, comedy and ‘out there’ performances.
The dates are set for the 18 & 19 September and Yarmouth’s St George’s Park will once again form the focus of a programme which this year sees acts from Ireland, Sweden, France and as far afield as Australia and New Zealand.
As a result of the ZEPA partnership, this year’s festival will see the English premier of Bivouac, produced by ZEPA associate company Générik Vapeur. Bivouac is a large scale street performance which has been setting streets on fire across Europe for almost twenty years.
