Encouraged by NoFit State Circus when they first came to Béthune at the end of November, the circus skills workshop started mid January at Victor Hugo Primary sports hall (Mont-Liébaut area) and aims at preparing a group of local people to take part in Barricade on 20th May.
These sessions bring together about 15 people from all ages and backgrounds, from the local area, Béthune town centre or surrounding villages. The group meets every Monday, from 6pm to 7.30pm and is led by professional juggler Stéphane Asselborn, from Cirque du Bout du Monde, who introduces the future participants to various juggling technics with staff, bolas, poïs and clubs.
